Here is another heirloom variety and our most popular Bean at Conant Acres. It has been grown in New England for over a century and is the prized bean of Washington County Maine. Often believed to be the bean of choice in Maine Lumber Camps years ago when Lumberjacks would feast on 4 meals per day that always had baked beans on the table. These beans are medium-small, roundish, and brown in color. They hold their shape well. Known for their rich flavor and of course great for baking.
